Blackjack Tips

Blackjack is the most familiar table game offered by casinos, yet it is one of the most misunderstood by players who avoid playing Blackjack for three reasons.

First, they don't know the basic rules of the game. Second, they are therefore afraid of embarrassing themselves in front of other players. Third, they falsely believe that the house's take is too large and they will lose too much money far too quickly.

The Gambling Wiz can take much of this guessing out of Blackjack with the following easy-to-use Blackjack Strategy Chart.

Did you know that most Blackjack players lose about 2% of every wager because of improper play? So by playing error-free Blackjack by using the Blackjack Strategy Chart, you'll cut the house's edge dramatically, and in no time at all! We suggest printing this chart and using it when you gamble; and yes, you can take it with you when you gamble at a land-based casino.

Now there are many ways of playing Blackjack, but our advice to everyone is to study the game, develop your own strategies, play error-free and consequently become a winner.

Here are a few more tips to help you become a winner:

  • If you mimic the dealer, that is hitting all 16's, standing on 17's and never splitting or doubling, your expected loss will be 10 times worse than if you play from the Blackjack Strategy Chart.

  • If you have a Pat 20 (first two cards total 20), your best bet is to have the dealer showing an 8 because if they have an Ace, 10, or 9 in the hole, you automatically win.

  • You must always split Aces and 8's, no matter what the dealer's up card is.

  •  When you get an Ace on your first card, your advantage over the house is an incredible 52%.
  • Never buy insurance.

Roulette Tips

Many gamblers are unsure of how the game of Roulette is played, and therefore shy away from the Roulette pit. Well, the game of Roulette is very simple and requires no skill at all. There is no such thing as a "dumb bet." Simply lay your chips on the numbers, lines, colors or boxes and the game takes care of itself.

Basic Strategy

So what about Roulette betting systems?
Do any Roulette systems work? Today, dozens of Roulette betting systems exist, and most are founded on the notion of recognizing streaks and taking advantage of them by "clocking" past spins. They are all useless. The inherent mathematical advantage the house has in a pure game of chance will remain constant no matter what.

Should you know a Roulette betting system?
Yes. You should have a simple money management and bankroll system in place to help ensure that you don't burn through your money if you don't hit the numbers you have bet on.

Tips on keeping your Bankroll

Much like the stock market, you need to spread your risk around. Scatter your bets across the table, and this will help ensure that you will win something most every roll.

Also, spread the money around. Instead of betting $5 straight up on a number, play $1 straight up and another $1 on all four corners.

Using the System

Playing is easy. Use your cursor and either the left or right mouse button to select the chip (click on it) and place it (click) anywhere on the betting layout. To stop placing bets, again click either the right or left mouse button with the cursor placed in the area your chips are stacked (bottom right corner of screen).

The game will inform you when you're not making a proper bet. Click "Spin," then sit back and enjoy. The Roulette wheel will spin; the ball will randomly bounce around and settle on a number.

If you would like to bet on the same number(s) during the next spin, click on "Last Bet" and then "Spin" to start the next spin.

Craps Tips

Craps is arguably the fastest, most dynamic of all the casino games - gamblers seem to either love it or hate it. It seems in just a matter of a scant few rolls, you can win a large amount of money; but just as quickly you can lose it all. Craps can be a dangerous game.

Unlike other games of chance, it does matter where you bet your money. The best pass bets to make are Pass and Don't Pass, and Come and Don't Come, with or without Free Odds.

Remember! In craps there are no guaranteed systems.

Here are a few tips that will help you win consistently:

Progression and Regression: increasing and decreasing your wagers at a fixed rate. Often, you start with bets twice the table minimum, 2x, follow with x, then work back up to 2x, or higher, as you win. Progressive/regressive betting is the player's only hope of beating the “Vig” in the long run. If you bet flat (the same each time), you will always lose.

Bring the proper bankroll for your strategies: Play only at tables you can afford. You should be able to cover at least 25 to 30 bets, so don't sit at a $5 table with less than $125. This is your only protection against inevitable cold streaks.

Never let your winnings "Ride." If you win the first then lose, you have nothing but a loss to show for having played even against the “Vig”, which is ridiculous.

No, it is not possible to have a betting edge over the casino.

Yes, there are secrets to winning consistently?

You may have heard of claims from individuals that they have the "Magical System" that is guaranteed to win. Do not believe it. Although there are better systems than others, it is mathematical impossible to create a system that would give a player an edge in any game of chance.

Winning consistently is easy to understand once you know why people loose consistently. Casinos strive basically on four types of players:

1) Players with unrealistic winning goals.
2) Players who rely strictly on luck.
3) Players with little (or no) discipline.
4) Players who play not to lose.

Assuming this is the case (bet on it), it stands to reason that the key to winning consistently is by playing smart. Playing smart starts with making good bets.

Here are some ways of winning consistently:

1) Having a solid game plan.
2) Effective money management.
3) Having the discipline and confidence.

Video Poker Tips

In Jacks or better, a pair of Jacks or better pays even money. Hold on to the two off-suited face cards for the best chance of a winner.

When you draw a pair of face cards and three other face cards of the same suit, you'll be tempted to shoot for the Royal Flush. Don't do it. The chances of getting one of the cards you need are about 23-1. The chances of catching the second card are 46-1. The about 1,000-1 for an 800-1 payoff. You'll still have a chance for the Full House or Four of a Kind if you keep the high pair. If you get four cards that make a Royal Flush, keep them all.

Slots Tips

All spins are random. And this is what you can expect in most casinos, as there is no reason for the house to risk breaking the law and lose their valuable casino license by programming the machines to beat you.

If you find that you are continually hitting the jackpot but never quit in time to become a winner, you need to establish solid bankroll control so that you can manage your resources. The will certainly make the game of Slots more enjoyable.
